The Ipswich club is hosting a few TT's over the next couple of months and today there was a 20km one on. I chose to do this event as i am trying to get my times down for the upcoming tours. Anyways I came in 3rd behind a couple of guys on TT bikes and was on my roadie with bars so i wasn't too disappointed. I came in 36 seconds behind the winner but i went back and checked how much the same guy beat me by in the scenic rim last year. He beat me over 12 km last year by 88 seconds. I have closed the gap a little on these guys and now will have to work on my position on the bike as i wasn't comfortable and felt i was too high.
Anyways if anyone is keen the next one will be in around a months time at a faster course. Craig Taylor (AKA TT weapon) will be riding the next one so it will be a good test to see where your at if you are focussing on the tours this year.
I was actually surprised how much i enjoyed TTing and chasing down the guys in front.
