Toddy 1st Place Muzz

Hi All

Well my first win in B grade, with Bocky and me lining up, 37 in the race was going to be interesting.

As usual I went off the start and within a lap we got caught. Sat in for quite a while then 5 mins before the Prime, jumped across to another break ( another portas type effort ) We were chased down again.

On the prime lap a bunch of 5 got away and contested. Wasn't looking good for the rest of the main bunch as they put a considerable gap into us.

The boys in pink ( hogs breath) 3 of their team lunged for a big attack from the back of the main field. The main bunch had to work hard to go with them but brought the break back in.

With 5 mins to go, 1 rider went off the front ( happened to be a good mate of mine and the same guy from our last big lets go from the gun effort). Was near the front and jumped across with one other to form a break of three. We put some good distance into the field over the next couple of laps and my HR sitting on 190. I was hurting. A group of 3 were trying to bridge the gap.

3 laps to go came and we all decided to just go for it. we passed C grade with a lap to go and the main field was gaining. as we got the bell we still had a good break. Just before the last corner, one of the riders was gone,we went for it into the main straight. Me and the other guy, I hugged his wheel and pulled out with 50 to go and half bike length win. HR 201 : )
