28 starters.... (80 riders in the peloton including Master’s C) ITT: Felt ok... but slow. Finished 18th. Nicci smashed it came 6th.
RR1: 68k. One girl broke away with a group of men on the second lap. I finished in main pack (+2:30). Found a pool in stoker’s just after the finish line which was perfect... the owner even provided towels (Luv you Mr Fisher!)
RR2: 45k. Tough day. Lost the leaders at the KOM, then descended solo and ended up in a fun chase pack, sharing turns and we finished well (+2min)
Crit: Almost got dropped, cornering too slowly. D3 crew was yelling... Gradually got the hang of things and finished with the bunch.
Overall GC 8th (+4:18) Tough race. Learnt heaps. Thanks to all who made the D3 tent a home for the wkd
