Tour of Gippsland: stage 6

Stage 6
Finally the k's and intensity of the week is catching up with me, woke up with pretty sore legs today, had a restless night, and was dreaming of a rest day.
As Dana White from the Ultimate Fighter would say "do you want to be a fuckin fighter?"
To really test my motivation as we were waiting on the start line of this mornings crit with 2mins till we start it started to rain. Big fat cold rain! And we were off around another 30 lap box course and the first time we came flying into the first 90deg bend I quotes Dana White and with a smile on my face hit the brakes without guilt and sprinted out the other side. As always there were sprints on every even lap which kept the action on. There were two crashes in the last half of the race which gave the back half of the bunch two valuable laps out and eventually after a very wet muddy crash fest it was over and hopefully got bunch time. Yesterday I lost some time as a rider in front dropped a wheel on the final straight. Not sure about today,

Team highlight today was our young kiwi rider won the crit with an impressive 8 lap solo breakaway. We moved from 9th team to 6th which is pretty good for a bunch of random's.
