In A-grade Nikolai and the boys executed perfectly to the Merida/
data#3 game plan setting out with Michael Cupitt as protected riders
and Dave Melville launching into EB which became the only break! Dave
staying away in a group of 10 or so riders and after getting fedup
with genesys not pulling through launch a 2 man attack for 10km off
the front of the race. A great effort that should reward the sponsors
of the merida team. Mick Cupitt was supported by Chew and StuMulhern
who were covering all the big gun moves to get across to the main
bunch whilst the other shielded Mike. The break came together and
another couple of riders from genesys and bikebug took out the race
with Dave 9th and Mick 14th.
In b, c and d divisions Terence bonner, Richard bonner and steven
Bolland finished in the main bunches and should hold themselves proud.
A big day for a huge field and their handlers;)
We recover at camp avonlea (chez bonner) outside of inverell.
