Lakeside A grade - introduction to the Incredible Hulk!

It is amazing what you can achieve when you work to a plan!
With only two team mates the plan was to save our energy and make it count. Our first effort was set for the preme where the Incredible Hulk (New to D3 - Richard Allen) positioned himself at the front of the race attacking the hill before the sprint. Opportunity struck as Hulk followed a surging wheel over the top looking back to find a hesitant bunch had let the gap go. Seizing the moment the head went down and the power on. No contest!
Dropping back into the pack we then waited patiently for the finish. With 2 laps to go the Hulks launch appeared form hiding to turn up the speed pulling him to the front keeping things in check as the frenzy started. Closing in on the finish and being dropped off on the last climb, Hulk positioned himself about 7 bikes from the front. As planned it was important to have some cannon fodder as the sprint was long with a head wind. From here on things blurred a little, gaps opened and closed as the Hulk attacked the finish narrowly missing line honours by a tyre thickness!
Well done Richard Allen.
The first result for the year.
