Muzza Race Report

Hi All, On Sat the C grade team lined up for the weekly Murarrie sprint fest. Today's team included Chris (Winner of last week), Mick (always keen for smash fest), Adam (always looking for opportunities). Well the race had an easy 20 min 35 - 40km/h start with no massive breaks etc. Then some of the younger riders started thinking about the prime, and so did I. So again I found myself in 4th wheel on the last corner, and feeling good. So the first two riders took the right and left side, so the 3rd wheel started a long sprint. He started to fade close to the line and I was able to out sprint them for a bike length prime win. After the prime the bunch regrouped for the next 15min was mostly together. I could remember Mick saying he was going to try a solo break away. So with 2 laps to go he started his massive kamikaze run. This got all of the riders attention, and the race was on. He stayed away for 1.5 laps, which was a great effort because the group was doing 45km/h to catch him. The final sprint was on and Chris was in great position to attack. He held back in the draft for perfect win. Well done again! (second week in a row) So this race was dominated by the D3 C Grade Team, with Prime, Solo Break away and the Final sprint win. This was a great result for the team, and a massive mention to Mick for his Solo (welcome back to Muzza mate). see you all in training. Adam Clark
